About Irie Moto Racing Team

Irie Moto Racing Team competes in the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) Endurance Series. Officially, the endurance team was formed in 2021, but the idea started well before that. Founding racers Maurice Dongar and Ronnie Grove started with CMRA in 2017 and quickly realized it would take a team effort to make racing sustainable.

During long weekends at the track, the two brainstormed business ideas with friend and fellow motorcycle aficionado Kendra Kinnison. Soon, they recruited Stephan Noack for his innovative marketing expertise, and Irie Motorsports, Inc. was born.

In 2020, Maurice and Ronnie excelled in their novice races and were promoted to the Expert grid. Kendra had also earned her Novice race license, and the trio identified Endurance racing as an opportunity to significantly increase their track time. In assembling their team, fellow racer Ross Brady stood out for his racing skill, mechanical expertise, and competitive spirit.

2021 was Irie Moto Racing’s first year together as a team. Riding the purple-liveried #27 Yamaha YZF-R3, they finished the CMRA ULW Endurance season in tenth place overall and the 300 Superstock class in second place.

For their sophomore season, the team debuted their signature black, teal, and orange livery on the bike and with custom Thor 2.0 suits from Bison Track. Veteran racer Shelik Spencer also joined the racing roster.

Steadily improving, the team aimed to improve on their 2021 standings. However, a mechanical misunderstanding disqualified the team after their first victory at Hallett Roadracing Circuit in May 2022 and subtracted precious points. But the team rallied to another best-in-class finish at MSR Cresson in August 2022.

With a final round in October 2022, the team is looking to perform at their best and setup for excellence in the 2023 season.
